Dreamer Residency is a creative space for people exploring ideas, questions and possibilities that reach beyond established disciplines and ways of thinking. We welcome artists, philosophers, researchers, technologists and other curious minds whose work engages with the changing world — whether through artistic practice, technological experimentation, critical thought or entirely new forms of inquiry.
The Residency offers time and space to step away from everyday routines and follow an idea wherever it leads. There is no single discipline, prescribed method or expected form of outcome. A project may take the shape of an artwork, a technological experiment, a piece of research, a philosophical inquiry, a prototype, or something that has not yet found its form.

The dreamer stays in private room in a Dalyan guesthouse, close to the river. Each room has a dedicated writing desk and natural light. Shared kitchen, common room, garden, and terrace overlooking the reeds.
Dalyan stands between two worlds — ancient and alive. A small town on the river, between the mountains and the sea — a place where time moves at its own pace, ancient history blends into the everyday landscape, and the natural world is a constant, quiet presence.
This is a place where time slows down and attention deepens. The Mediterranean light, the water moving through the reeds, the sound of the wind, the proximity of history — together, they create space to step away from the rhythm of everyday life and approach whatever you are working on with a different kind of attention. A story, an image, an idea, or something that has yet to become anything at all. This is why we chose Dalyan as a space for creative development.

Dreamer Residency welcomes artists, thinkers, researchers, technologists and other curious minds whose work, questions or ideas engage with possibilities beyond established disciplines. Residents are selected through an open call or by invitation, depending on the programme.
Residents are given time and space in Dalyan to step away from everyday routines and pursue their own work, research, questions or ideas. There is no prescribed method or required form of outcome — each resident shapes the experience according to their own practice and curiosity.
Once a week, residents come together for an hour-long conversation with Lab participants and invited guests selected by Dalyan Film Lab. Guests may come from the worlds of art, cinema, technology, culture, philosophy or other fields of interest. These informal encounters are spaces for exchange, questions and unexpected connections rather than formal lectures.
At the end of the Residency, each resident presents what they have explored during their time in Dalyan. This does not need to be a finished work or conventional project — it may take the form of an artwork, prototype, research, presentation, conversation or another way of sharing the ideas and questions that have emerged.
We are looking for artists, thinkers, researchers, technologists and others who are questioning, imagining or creating new possibilities across art, technology, culture, philosophy and beyond.
There is no expected discipline, medium or outcome. What matters is the curiosity behind the work, the questions being asked and the willingness to explore where they might lead.

There is no specific professional or academic qualification required.
A short description of your current work, idea or area of inquiry, a statement explaining what you would like to explore during the Residency, a short biography and examples of previous work or relevant experience where available.
Selected residents are expected to spend the full Residency period in Dalyan and actively engage with the Residency community. Residents are expected to take part in the weekly one-hour conversations with Lab participants and invited guests, while otherwise having the freedom to shape their own time and working process.
There is no prescribed artistic or professional outcome. Residents are expected to share what they have explored during the Residency through a final presentation, which may take the form of a work, prototype, research, presentation, conversation or another appropriate format.
Selection results will be announced within one month following the application deadline.
